Shannon + Cory | Wedding!

Cory and Shannon had a beautiful wedding this holiday season! Arizona is the perfect place to have a "winter" wedding becuase the weather is great! They celebrated their becoming of one at the stunning Montelucia Resort and Spa and it couldn't have been a more perfect day! 

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day had to be the speeches during dinner time. It was so endearing to see all of Shannon and Cory's friends and family toast to the new couple. You can tell these two were made for each other and the support they are receiving as they enter this new journey in life together was overwhelming. There was a moment during her Dad's speech, that I looked over and Shannon was just glowing. I love capturing moments like this! 

So thankful to have been a part of capturing this day!

The Mugos; Time flies with this family!

Okay, so I *thought* I had a great time with this bubbly family of four during a shoot we had this summer. ... little did I know they were just warming up to me!

I have to admit i thought it was the monster trucks, baseball and huge plot of grass that made this boys come alive, but during our christmas shoot they had just as much energy and really started to come out!

I promise you, I did not prompt this. They sat there with their arms around eachother , then rolled back in fits of laughter. Cutest. brothers. ever.

And I can see where this natural love and joy stems from... 

Love this family and can't wait to see them again! If there is one thing this session taught me, its that even though I begin to soak up the little intricacies of families the first time I get the opportunity to capture them, with each new session comes new comforts, shared laughter and deeper bonding. 

Its sessions like these where i walk away feeling like *I'm* the one that was blessed. 

Such a joy to get to do what I do.

Ashley and Andrew Gill

I love when I get to do sessions with family.

Maybe its the bossy older sister in me, or the fact that i remember everyones names without having to recite them in my head 10 times before everyone arrives... but there is just an ease that we quickly fall into, and its warm and relaxing.

I got to shoot these two lovebirds back in August at their beautiful colorado wedding, and now they are coming up on their first christmas together! Somehow i think they managed to evade the usually hecticness (yes i made that word up) of planning schedules and stress in sorting out which family gets what holiday. Maybe thats the advantage of being the youngest? Or maybe they are just a great together and find those kind of things easy. Jealous.

4 months into marriage and they seem as happy as ever. I've been by their house when Ashley is cooking homemade sweet potatoes fries and pulled pork with Dr. Pepper barbecue sauce. I swear these two were just made for eachother. She is a fantastic wife and seeing them together makes me happy.

Audrey Hughes is here!

One of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to capture the moments that are here and then gone before you know it.

I think one of the times that seems to just run away faster than us humans can grasp its presence is that first few weeks of a new life. The small toes, the little yawns and their need for mom and dad is at an all time high. 

And this *neediness*, is met with loving and caring parents; people that step up to support new life; soothing, wiping and waking up at all hours to serve. 

Watching Meliss and Ira with little Audrey was so special. The tenderness and love shown to this little one was just perfect. Selfless and just what she needs. 

I think Cole was born for this job. So gentle and sweet to his baby sister.

I am so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to capture Audrey, in her first days on this earth and in the care of the upmost perfect family fit for her.

Christmas Photos with the Bickart Family

What is it with toddlers and being so dang cute?

I mean if i walked out in a red velvet dress and white tights i would look like an overstuffed pillow, but put it on a 19 month old and it is the most adorable thing ever!

Our little Katie is proof of that.

 Katie needed a little break from the camera, so I took the opportunity to get a few of just Heidi and Aaron, and I'm so glad. They are such an adorable pair and one of those couples that are clearly in love with eachother.

Katie had her little eye on the carousel all afternoon long, and near the end we finally caved and let her on. The thing wasn't moving, but she didn't care. :)
