Sean + Laura | Troon North Engagement Session

I met Laura and her mom Ann over a cup of coffee  in Tempe, and within just a few minutes we were all talking excitedly about Sean and Laura's wedding details like I had known them for years! We poured over photos of the ceremony site, imagining how Laura would look in her beautiful dress walking down the aisle. I don't know if I have ever been so comfortable so quickly! They just took me in and it wasn't long before I wanted to meet Sean too! I knew if he was marrying someone as sweet then he had to be a great guy too! And sure enough he is! I love this couple!

I asked Laura about how they got engaged and it is the sweetest story! Laura and Sean, I cannot wait for your wedding this fall! You two are so comfortable with each other and your love for the other is so beautiful and comes through so well!

"This is my favorite story! I could not have imagined a more perfect proposal and weekend. After going to our favorite restaurant for dinner, Sean told me we had some friends in town and that they were staying at the new Westin (my favorite hotel) in downtown Cleveland.  So, we went to go meet them for a drink at the hotel but, little did I know, they were not in town. When we got to the hotel, we went up to “their” room except, when we got to the door, Sean looked at me with a huge smirk on his face.  He reached into his pocket, pulled out a hotel key and, when he opened the door, there were flowers and a ring box sitting there! He proposed right in the doorway and then insisted we go out immediately to celebrate! We went to a bar down the street and, when I walked in, both our families were all there waiting for us! Everyone had to come in from out of town!  Sean really did an amazing job planning the whole weekend!" - Laura

"Sean and I met in the fall of 2010 and began dating shortly after. For his 29th birthday the following March, we went to Chicago for the weekend together. During our stay in Chicago, I remember almost slipping and saying “I love you” so many times!  After that weekend, I wanted to spend every day with him and knew that we would end up together!" - Laura

"Some people might say we took things slow.  After he didn’t kiss me right away, it became a joke that he was waiting too long! I knew right away that he was a good guy and that I wanted to keep him around! He finally kissed me at his apartment after dinner one night.  To cap the night off, we had both fallen asleep on his couch watching a movie and when we woke up I went to leave and my car had been towed!  It was definitely a night I will never forget!" - Laura

Desert Botanical Gardens Wedding Photos | Brandon and Leanne -Shannon

Brandon and Leanne

The Wedding

The weather was amazing; cool with a slight breeze as the sun set and the reception began. The navy details coordinated perfectly and gave just the right pop of color.  The vibrant desert plants were all in bloom and made a spectacular backdrop for Brandon and Leanne's spring Arizona wedding. I remember when Brandon and Leanne first told us they were engaged, they threw out the idea of possibly getting married on Pi day... which this year happened to have the additional 4th and 5th first numbers of the Pi sequence... 3.14.15 . How cool is that! These two added in just the right amount of "Pi" details.. like personal pies for dessert instead of cake!  It made their wedding so personal and fun!
The day could not have gone better and we were so thankful to be there to capture it! Brandon and leanne we are so excited for you guys as you embark on this journey of marriage together! Shannon and Ryan had nothing but great things to say about your day! Your wedding was beautiful and we can't wait to watch you and you continue to grow closer together.

With love,

Shannon and the Studio Girls!

It was funny to me how I spent a lot of time worrying if I would be able to tie my bow tie. During my practice it took me 30 minutes to get that thing on. Funny thing was it took less than 5 minutes that day! It sort of just went on magically.  However, Leanne did have to adjust it once during the ceremony.” – Brandon

“My favorite moment of Leane on our wedding day was when I saw her for the first time in what felt like an eternity. That was the best moment by far. But also reading her card she wrote to me. We exchanged cards instead of gifts that morning. I was sitting on a bench near Elliot Patio and I had no idea what to expect. What I read simply blew my mind. She touched on so many things in that card that really hit deep in my heart and I love her for that.”  - Brandon

“The best moment of the whole entire wedding for me was watching Leanne turn the corner and make her way towards me. She was absolutely stunning!! I was overwhelmed with emotion. I think the picture captured it best. Her dress was gorgeous, and she walked towards me with such elegance and beauty! She was the star of the wedding, as she should be. I loved that moment and I will never forget it.” - Brandon
"I don't remember much about my first steps out from around the corner. I think there was too much to take in, I was nervous about navigating the stairs, and I couldn't see Brandon. Then, all of the sudden, I saw him! At that moment I couldn't stop smiling. I was so overjoyed to be walking down the aisle toward the man of my dreams. I had laser beam focus on Brandon! All the details, the decorations, the music, the guests... all fell away to the background. My walk down the aisle to meet my husband was the most deliberate, focused, and joyful walk of my life." - Leanne

"My most vibrant memory of our wedding day is just the overall feeling of joy. There were so many times when Brandon and I just took a step back and said "wow, this is our wedding?!" The best word to describe it is magical. I never could've imagined feeling the way I felt on that day. One of the most special moments when this feeling of pure joy was the strongest was right after Pastor Nolan pronounced us husband and wife. We walked back down the aisle together and we were giddy! We stopped a couple times to get in a few more first kisses. We were soon met by our immediate families and bridal party. It seemed as though everyone was buzzing with emotion that could not be contained. I will never forget that quick moment with our families who were so happy for us." - Leanne

“Another favorite moment was walking through the garden after the wedding. We were just giddy with Joy. It was dark. The smells of the garden were in the air. We turned to see the lights of the party behind us. We had pulled off the very best night of our lives!!” Brandon
Brandon and Leanne thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We are so happy for you guys and the day could not have been more perfect!

12 West Main Wedding Photos | Mesa, AZ Photographer | Kevin and Claire

Claire and Kevin are the type of people that everyone wants to be friends with.
You know the type. Confident, friendly, good sense of humor, strong family ties and a thirst for a good time.  They are good people, and so they naturally surround themselves with other great people.

And so, on March 13th, the friends and family of these two gathered and celebrated this amazing couple at the Mesa Arts Center as they become one before Christ. The day could not have gone more perfectly. From the laid back mood as the guys got ready that morning in the basement, to the ladies laughing all through photos together, to the sweet walk down the aisle as Kevin tried to keep it together. This wedding was full of amazing moments and hilarity along the way.

The party afterwards at 12 West Main needs no explanation as the photos tell all, but I can honestly say I laughed so much during the speeches - like hilarious! It was such an amazing wedding and being there to capture the love these two have for each other was a dream. Their attraction is tangible and their joy contagious.

Best to you Claire and Kevin as you continue life as man and wife!

Much love,
Jenn Wagner and the team!

"I think my favorite time of the day was getting ready and the prayer before the wedding.  This time was so fun and special because I had spent so much time and energy planning that I forgot to remember what was actually happening!! The morning of leading up to the ceremony, I was able to just spend time getting so excited to marry my best friend.  The anticipation and excitement built throughout the day as I just celebrated with the people around me and anxiously awaited the actual event!!  " - Claire

"I remember feeling pretty emotional a few times throughout the day.  The first was when Kevin and I prayed together.  That was such a meaningful time for us to pause and have a moment with Christ.  Also, when I was waiting in one of the rooms by myself while the grandparents, mom and wedding party walked down the aisle.  It was the first time all day that I had been alone and I felt so overwhelmed by everything (in a good way!)  I had a moment between myself and God to prepare for what was about to happen which was neat. The  parent dances and speeches were really emotional as well of course, especially with my dad!" - Claire

" I was glad the ceremony space was mostly shaded by the time the wedding started, we were worried about that. Everything else I expected, except for how much I reacted to when I first saw Claire come around the corner. Inside, I lost it. Outside, I was grinning ear to ear. She’s beautiful!" - Kevin

"We also both loved the time spent taking pictures because it was the first time that we were alone and getting to enjoy just the excitement of becoming husband and wife!!! " - Claire

"The time we had walking around getting our post-wedding pictures taken was amazing because everything was fresh in our minds regarding the ceremony, and we were able to sneak in some small talk which was special. After everyone stole her away from me all week and she was busy planning everything, I was glad to sneak off to Mexico with her for 5 days with PHONES OFF!!! :) :) :)" - Kevin

"We laugh a lot about some  of the dancing that went  on at the wedding! We  have hilarious flashbacks of specific people or songs that were so fun! We also had a funny moment realizing that we were heading to the wrong hotel once we left the reception. Luckily we figured it out  before we got there, but that was just a funny wrench in the day. We also laugh about the random star wars characters that showed up! It was such a strange but funny memory for both of us the next day to suddenly remember that!" - Claire

"Another would be the star wars characters showing up and dancing, that was hilarious! Another thing often mentioned is how many things went wrong/unplanned like the the violinist playing all the wrong music during the processional (our photographers were great though) and yet even with those things, everyone had a blast and hardly noticed. It was a great party and everyone did their part in making it so special. We’re so grateful!" Kevin
